Camera basics

Part selection

Unless otherwise specified, these shortcuts work in both the 3D viewing area and the BOM.

Action Shortcut
Select multiple parts
  • Control + click parts
    (Mac: Command + click parts)
  • Click a part repeatedly. After the first click, each subsequent click selects the parent subassembly.
  • For adjacent parts, click the first part in the BOM, press Shift, and click the last part in the BOM.
Deselect parts
  • For individual parts, press Control + click parts
    (Mac: Command + click parts)
  • To deselect all parts, click on whitespace in the viewing area or hit the Spacebar.

Note: You must select an item in the tree for the shortcuts to work.

Markup and Measurement actions

Action Shortcut
Draw a circle Choose Ellipse circle.png and then use Shift + drag
Delete an active markup or measurement (before saving them) Delete
Cancel measuring after picking the first measurement point Esc

Walk mode

Walk mode constraints your movements so that it seems as though you’re walking through your model. NOTE: To enter Walk Mode in either the 3D Viewer or Story: Press Alt+Shift+Enter on Windows  and  Option+Shift+Return on a Mac
